Collaboration for Sustainable Development
It all started with an idea.
But every idea needs someone to believe in it.
Before the Association for Cooperation and Sustainable Development (ASOR) had a name, an identity, or its first members—someone had already said: “This is worth supporting.”
Our first step was made possible thanks to the support of the Belgrade Open School, our partners, and the EU Resource Center for Civil Society, through the program "Development of New Ideas", implemented with the financial support of the European Union.
Why Did We Launch ASOR?
Even though sustainable development is becoming an increasingly common topic, cross-sector collaboration remains rare.
We noticed a lack of:
- shared spaces for collaboration,
- knowledge exchange across sectors,
- visibility for small initiatives that make a difference.
ASOR was founded to bring all of that together. But just like many others, we needed initial support. And we received it.
Why This Project Is More Than a Beginning
Collaboration for Sustainable Development is not just another project—it's the foundation on which our entire platform is built.
Through this program, we:
- learn how to communicate with clarity and purpose,
- connect organizations, institutions, and individuals,
- contribute to reform processes in line with European Union values.
ASOR exists today thanks to that support—and now has the foundation to grow and last.
What Comes Next?
ASOR is becoming a platform for ideas, people, and collaboration.
We are preparing to launch a series of blog posts and analytical pieces, organize a networking event for those who believe in the power of connection, and open space for concrete initiatives.
We are grateful to everyone who recognized the importance of this beginning.
